The dysprosium sputtering target is a silver metal target made of high-purity dysprosium (Dy) metal. It has a melting point of 1420°C, a boiling point of 2840°C, and a density of 8.55g/cm3. Even if it is slowly oxidized by oxygen at room temperature, it is stable in the air.Its main use is permanent magnets.

Application of Dysprosium Sputtering Target

Used for thin film deposition; alloyed stainless steel for nuclear control applications; used as a cermet for cooling the control rods of nuclear reactors, so it can easily absorb neutrons and will not shrink or expand under prolonged neutron bombardment; and Mixed use of rare earth metals (including vanadium) can be used as laser materials.
